Two teenage brothers from middle-of nowhere Fruitland, WA, nearly bankrupt the family farm making an album in their homemade recording studio. Father also builds them a 300-capacity concert hall, ‘Camp Jammin’, which, naturally, never comes close to being filled.
A prototype percussion shaker has been developed that converts kinetic energy into electricity. The aim is to help children in rural parts of Africa and other parts of the developing world gain access to a few hours of extra light to do their homework or charge their phones. Musician Sudha Kheterpal is leading the project.
